Adnams and The Suffolk Show 2013

By Sarah Groves, also posted in News on

Fat Sprat at The Suffolk ShowIt's great to be back at Trinity Park again this year for another amazing Suffolk Show. If you're coming along tomorrow you can find the Adnams Boat Bar and the mobile Cellar & Kitchen beach hut situated opposite The President’s Ring next to the Adnams Food & Drink Experience Food Hall. The Adnams boat bar is just a few meters away from the Cookery Theatre where Tyler Torrence, Head Chef at The Crown, Southwold, demonstrated today how to prepare and cook sea trout fillet with First Rate Gin-infused cucumber with samphire and lemon verbena. Tyler was accompanied by Adnams Head Distiller, John McCarthy, who wowed the audience with his selection of cocktails. Visitors to the Cookery Theatre tomorrow can see Tyler cook a beer-inspired recipe along with Adnams’ Head Brewer Fergus Fitzgerald at 11.30am. Tyler Torrence, Mary Kemp and John McCarthy at the Cookery TheatreOn the Boat Bar this year we have a limited edition beer, Adnams Fat Sprat, brewed in support of The Marine Conservation Society. Visitors to the Show tomorrow should look out for a large, grey, pointy-nosed fish wandering along with samples of beer. It's hard to miss him, but if you do, pop along to the Adnams Boat Bar and try our Fat Sprat for yourself. You can also taste 'Native Britten' - a bottled beer brewed to commemorate Suffolk-born composer Benjamin Britten's Centenary. Also on the bar is Southwold Bitter, Broadside, Ghost Ship, Fat Sprat, Kristal White, Spindrift and Jack Brand Innovation, so there's plenty to choose from on the day. You can view pictures of Wednesday’s Show on Flickr.
