For new details please see our store listings. Ed. 3.12.2011) We're almost ready to launch a pop up version of our popular Cellar & Kitchen stores in Norwich’s Chapelfield shopping centre in time for the Christmas shopping period. Located in the Chapelfield Plain area opposite Wagamama, the temporary store will open its doors to customers on Wednesday 27 October. Inside, customers will find Adnams’ award-winning selection of beers, wines and spirits, plus stylish kitchenware and food gifts. Items such as mini-kegs and polypins of Adnams beers, food and wine hampers and even Adnams Broadside Christmas puddings will have particular appeal to Christmas shoppers. The store also features a fine and rare wine area for those looking for something really special. As with all Adnams Cellar & Kitchen stores, knowledgeable and friendly staff will offer free in-store tastings every day plus advice and guidance on wine selection. The store will follow the same opening hours of Chapelfield and customers can take advantage of free local delivery and a carry-to-car service. To celebrate the opening, Sam Lockyer from Forrest Estate in Marlborough will be in-store throughout the day on Saturday 30 October to talk to customers about New Zealand wines and offer tastings. Each Saturday in the run up to Christmas there will be a particular focus on a wine region or style, with special guests from vineyards that we work closely with. The new store will employ 10 fully-trained full- and part-time staff. Store manager Amita Patel has relocated to Norwich from Adnams’ Richmond Cellar & Kitchen, bringing a wealth of wine expertise having worked in the industry for 10 years. The move marks a return to Norwich for Adnams, (many Norwich residents will remember that we used to run The Grapevine in Unthank Road). Adnams retail director Martin Wilkinson, who joined the company earlier this year, commented, “Norwich is a great place to shop and our customers in this area have been calling for us to open a Cellar & Kitchen here for some time. Now we’ve found the perfect location, we’re delighted to be back in the city for a limited period, so that shoppers can stock up in time for Christmas. Cellar & Kitchen offers an exciting shopping experience and until now there has been nothing like this in the city.” Adnams’ other Cellar & Kitchen stores are located in Southwold, Richmond-upon-Thames, Holkham, Woodbridge, Stamford, Harleston, Saffron Walden, Holt and Hadleigh.
