Adnams Chief Executive named Regional Business Ambassador by Business in the Community

Andy Wood receives award from BITCAndy Wood, Adnams Chief Executive, has been chosen to become a regional business ambassador for the East of England by HRH Prince of Wales, in recognition of his passion of driving local development in Suffolk and Norfolk. This prestigious role was announced at the Business in the Community (BITC) Charity's Responsible Business Awards Dinner at Quendon Hall in Essex. The event saw businesses and individuals from around the East of England presented with 'Big Tick' and 'Local Impact Awards' in recognition of efforts which have had a significant benefit to communities and the environment. In his many roles, Andy has demonstrated that responsible business is at the core of everything he does. As Chair of the BITC East of England Regional Advisory Board in 2009 until 2013, Andy ensured business support for a number of BITC programmes in the local area. He maintains a key support to ex-offenders as part of BITC's project and has championed responsible business among member companies. Andy continues his work for BITC and leads on talent and skills development in the region and will use the platform of HRH ambassador to support skills and education in the East of England.
