Adnams Copper House Sloe Gin is back!

By Sarah Groves, also posted in News on

John with a glass of Adnams Sloe Gin Early in July, when Wimbledon was in full swing and the Olympic Flame was on its way to Southwold, Adnams Head Distiller, John McCarthy, was just starting to create this year's Sloe Gin. A heart-warming, traditional-style Sloe Gin, it is made from Adnams Copper House Gin, sloes, almonds and sugar - free from artificial flavours or preservatives. John explains, "I've changed the production method this year slightly. I've increased the maceration time to eight weeks and, after the sloes had a good soaking, I used a much coarser filter. This has created a liqueur that is much fuller in body than last year. It's got loads more flavour and texture - it has improved what was already an exceptional drink. There is more sediment in the bottle, which makes it look like the authentic product that it is." Adnams Sloe GinAdnams Sloe Gin is the perfect seasonal accompaniment as summer slowly draws to a close and Autumn begins. Sloe Gin combines generous red fruit flavours with a warming burst and aromatics from the gin. Adnams Sloe Gin is available online and at our Cellar & Kitchen Stores at £19.49.
