Adnams Podcast Episode 15: dust clouds, Patagonia and the Adnams Seasonal Cellar Club

By Sarah Groves, also posted in News on

Alastair and Rob record podcast episode 15Alastair and Rob meet over lunch at The Crown to discuss Alastair's recent trip to Argentina. Alastair recounts his time driving for miles across the dusty Patagonian desert to find the vinous oasis of Domaine Noemia. From here, he has brought back two wines that will find their way into the next set of Seasonal Cellar Cases. The first, 'A Lisa Malbec' is a source of debate between Alastair and Rob, and they hope that it prompts a discussion between members of the Seasonal Cellar Club, too. The second is an oak-aged Malbec, 'J. Alberto' which will feature in this year's Autumn / Winter case. The wines selected for the Club reflect the season as well as Alastair's latest discoveries. Alastair explains that choosing the wines for the Club is 'the most fun thing that we do' and is especially suited for wine drinkers of 'an adventurous nature'. Each case (which can be all red, white, or mixed) is accompanied by comprehensive notes to give a full background to the wines and why they are of special interest to Alastair. You can find more information on the Seasonal Cellar Club here.
