Adnams Summer Cocktails

By John, also posted in News on

Adnams summer cocktails 2015Many of us do not make anything more complicated than a Gin & Tonic or a Pimms & lemonade at home. However, it is easy to make some delicious, summery cocktails without shaking your thang with all the theatre of Tom Cruise in the ‘80s film ‘Cocktail’ (although feel free to!). Here are four of my summer cocktail favourites. Give them a try and enjoy some new taste experiences this summer: Apple Sour cocktail from AdnamsApple Sour 1 egg white The juice of half a lemon 50ml Adnams Pomme Pom 25ml Sugar Syrup Firstly, vigorously shake all your ingredients together in a cocktail shaker without ice. Then add ice to your ingredients and shake again. Strain the contents into a traditional wide-base (coupe) cocktail glass. Garnish with a fan of apple slices on a cocktail stick. This looks great as well as tasting delicious! Adnams Sloe Motion cocktailSloe Motion 25ml Adnams Sloe Gin 15ml Sugar Syrup The Adnams Selection Champagne (or Adnams Prosecco) Mix the Sloe Gin and sugar syrup together in a champagne flute, then top up with sparkling wine of your preference. Add a nice red berry, a cherry or bramble perhaps, or half a wheel of lemon. Adnams Moscow MuleMoscow Mule 35ml Adnams East Coast Single Malt Vodka 125ml Ginger Ale 2 quarters of a lime Cut a lime into quarters and squeeze two of your quarters by hand into a tall, straight glass, then add the squeezed lime quarters to the glass too. Add the vodka and the ginger ale and swizzle all the ingredients together with a swizzle stick or a long handled spoon. Fill your glass with ice and garnish with a slice of lime. Adnams' Hedgerow SlingHedgerow Sling 25ml Adnams Sloe Gin 25ml Adnams Copper House Dry Gin Juice of half a lemon 12.5ml sugar syrup Top with soda water. Add your Sloe Gin, Dry Gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup to a cocktail shaker. Shake with ice, strain into a highball glass filled with ice, then top with soda water. Swizzle, and garnish with a slice of lemon for a refreshing pink-tinged drink. Cheers!
