Our wine club is super simple – you select a case of red wine, white wine or a mix of the two for each quarter. You then choose how much you wish to spend with three tiers of pricing; £89, £135 and £180. You can change it every quarter if you wish - we're that flexible! Sign up to our wine club here. Every three months Alastair Marshall, our Senior Wine Buyer, selects 12 bottles of wine, often from exciting new wine regions or small vineyards. Inside each case you'll find full tasting notes and food-matching suggestions. There’s also room to add your own notes too. And it’s not just great wines you’ll be treated to – you’ll also receive 10% off any other purchases made online, in our Adnams Stores or via mail order when you call 01502 727222. This offer also includes 10% off stays at our Adnams Hotels!* If you’re already a subscriber, here is the introduction for the September Adnams Wine Club cases by Alastair. Underneath you can download his tasting notes for the red and white wines included in the three different price brackets available.

"What an interesting and exciting 2016!

Earlier in the summer, we had the opportunity to explore the lesser known and the up-and-coming at the annual London Wine Fair. I tasted Indian wines, Turkish wines and put myself through an extensive tasting of Sake from Japan. It was both fascinating and exhausting. After three intensive days, I concluded that the wine world is in thriving form and is as fast-moving as always.

The wines of Eastern Europe continue to impress, because they not only deliver quality but also value, and this combination is rare. Californian wines are on the re-bound with plenty of delicious examples, but few that are light on price. There is also an increasing number of organic wines available, as deep-thinking growers gravitate to a naturally environmentally friendly way of working. All these are islands of quality afloat in a vast sea of bulk plonk, but the big difference is that now, compared to 20 years ago, the plonk is perfectly drinkable. We are definitely living in great times as far as wine is concerned.

This quarter brings you an enlightening selection of wines from across the world that we hope you enjoy, inspired by some of my experiences at the London Wine Fair.

Happy Tasting!"
