Here and Now - How beer is brewed in East Anglia from 1963 - BFI archive filmOn the 7th July 2015, the British Film Institute (BFI) launched ‘Britain on Film’ - a project aimed to reveal the forgotten stories of people and places from the UK’s film archives. The BFI has released thousands of digitised archive films for the public to view on their website, including rare home movies from 1902. Watch “Here and Now - How Beer is brewed in East Anglia” and discover Adnams brewery and The Lord Nelson as it was in 1963 and some of the characters that are still remembered and talked about fondly today. The Lord Nelson pub in Southwold as it was in 1963, BFI film archiveOver the past 50 years we’ve lost those clipped British accents and brewing technology has moved on hugely, but you’ll still hear some lovely Suffolk voices around our brewery. It’s wonderful for us all at Adnams to take a step back in time and see some familiar faces in a place that we know and love, and we hope that you’ll enjoy the film too. Do you remember any of the characters featured in this film? If you are happy to share your memories we'd love to hear from you. Please send an email or leave your comments in the box below.
