Adnams 10K runSet for Sunday 24th November at 11am, entry for the 5th annual Adnams 10K is now open. **11/9/2013 - Sorry but the race is now full. However, we are looking for for volunteers to help on the day who will receive a goody bag as thanks. If you're interested please email** The run starts just beyond the flood barrier on the road leading up to The Harbour inn. There will be approximate 'time' indicators next to the road to guide runners to their start positions. It is recommended that the fastest runners start near the front, and the runners aiming to finish in around 50 minutes or longer gather nearer to the rear of the runners for a more comfortable start. Each runner will be given a timing chip that will only be activated once you cross the start line, so even if you are at the back of the crowd, your race time will only trigger once you are across the official start. The course is 2 and a bit circuits of the course (you will pass The Harbour Inn three times) finishing on South Green near to The Red Lion. There will be water available on the course and there are also toilets should the need arise! Runners in the Adnams Southwold 10k Run 2013Bottled water and bananas will be at the finish line where you can also collect your official race time. Finishers will receive an Adnams goodie bag and a well-deserved medal. There will be special prizes for the fastest three male and female runners and for the fastest local runner. So if you live in Southwold, Reydon or Wangford, please make sure you say so on your application form. There’s also a prize for the Fastest Team, so if you belong to a non-UKA affiliated team, make sure you add your team name to the form when you enter. Entry fees: £17 for England Athletics Club-affiliated members £19 for non-affiliated runners All proceeds will be donated to charity. Once you've registered online you'll receive your race numbers, a map and full instructions for the event, and shoe timing chip shortly before the run. Closing date for entries is 10th November, or when the race becomes full. There will be no on-the-day registrations. Looking forward to seeing you soon!
