Adnams is proud to be the principal sponsor of the opening stage of this 5-day cycling Tour. The 110km, 68.5 mile, Suffolk stage will pass through five districts. Heading east from Bury St Edmunds, the tour will take in Stowmarket, Ipswich, Woodbridge and Saxmundham before the final sprint to the finish at Aldeburgh along the coast south from Thorpeness. To celebrate the announcement, Pearl Izumi Sports Tours International riders Katie Curtis and Gabriella Shaw joined organisers and partners from Suffolk in Bury St Edmunds. Emma Hibbert, Adnams Marketing Director, said "We're delighted to support Stage One of the Women's Tour as it passes through the heart of 'Adnams Country'. We're hoping for a terrific turnout of supporters once again this year. The riders will enjoy some superb Suffolk scenery as they head towards the Aldeburgh coast and will pass many Adnams pubs and shops along the way. But unfortunately I don't suppose they'll have time to stop!" Highlights of the Friends Life Women's Tour will be broadcast every evening on ITV4. Details of the remaining stages will be announced over the coming weeks on the Women's Tour website. You can find out more about this year's Friends Life Women's Tour here.
