Tim, Emma, Laura and Alice at Fairfields Farm with GHost Ship crispsA packet of crisps and a pint of beer has always been a winning combination, but now, thanks to Fairfields Farm Crisps and Adnams Ghost Ship, you can enjoy both in one spookily good packet! Produced in Colchester, Essex, Fairfields Farm Crisps use only the finest-quality home-grown potatoes for all of their crisps. The crisp factory is situated just meters away from the fields where the potatoes are grown, where they are then sliced, cooked and packed. These ultra-low food-mile crisps are perfect with a pint, promising a delicious crunch with a good flavour of beer – a hauntingly delicious treat. Adnams Ghost Ship Fairfields Farm crisp packetsFairfields Farm is family-owned and run by third-generation farmers Laura and Robert Strathern. They began making crisps from their home-grown potatoes in 2006 and since then have built up a reputation for producing great tasting, quality crisps using natural flavourings from the East Anglian region. They take great pride in knowing exactly which field each crisp is sourced from – in fact you can find the name of the field, as well as the potato variety used printed on each packet. “We're renowned for working with like-minded producers in East Anglia, so it has been fantastic to collaborate with such a well known brand as Adnams to create something new and exciting for the snack market,” explains Robert Strathern, founder of Fairfields Farm Crisps. “These crisps have a wonderful flavour, the beer works beautifully with our delicious potatoes and we know they'll be popular with our retail customers, but also with pubs and bars who like to offer their customers something unique.” The idea of the partnership came from Emma Hibbert, Adnams' Marketing Director, who comments, “We are really excited about working with Fairfields Farms Crisps. We know that a pint of beer and a packet of crisps is a fantastic combination - extending this to a beer-flavoured crisp makes perfect sense.  Adnams Ghost Ship is one of our most popular beers and those who have sampled the new crisps believe that its citrusy flavours work incredibly well with Fairfields’ delicious potatoes. These 'hauntingly good crisps’ are perfect by themselves or, in the time-honoured custom, alongside a pint of Adnams Ghost Ship.” Adnams Ghost Ship Crisps are available in 40g packs from delis and farm shops nationwide, Adnams stores and from Amazon from early December 2015.
