Adnams Sloe PorterNow's your chance! From today (Wednesday 12th October) until Sunday 23rd October 2016, JD Wetherspoon outlets are hosting "The World's Biggest Real-Ale Festival". The festival features 25 UK breweries and 5 international brewers, all tasked with creating beers brewed entirely using British Hops in support of the British Hop industry. Adnams' contribution to the festival is a deliciously dark and fruity Sloe Porter at 5% abv. Adnams Master Brewer, Fergus Fitzgerald explains, "Adnams Sloe Porter, exclusively available in casks in JD Wetherspoon pubs, is rich and dark with bitter chocolate and fruity hop notes complimenting the tart, fruity flavours of sloe berries. We've used a mix of pale ale malt, chocolate malt, double roasted barley and phoenix hops. Sloes are added to create a subtle, tart note and some red fruit character. We decided on a mixture of freshly-picked and frozen sloes as well as some berries that had just come out of Adnams sloe gin - all added to the kettle." Find your nearest JD Wetherspoon outlet here. Adnams stores are featuring Sloe Porter in limited edition 8-pint mini casks (£15.99) while stocks last. Sorry, but Sloe Porter is not available online.
