Help us raise funds for St Elizabeth Hospice

By Sarah Groves, also posted in News on

St Elizabeth Hospice logoA big thank you to all of our customers shopping at our Cellar & Kitchen Stores who have been kindly donating their spare change to charity via Pennies - the electronic charity box. We've raised a brilliant total of £6,242 for the Eastern Daily Press Flood Appeal which was set up to support individuals and communities affected by the coastal flooding that took place at the end of last year. You can read more about the appeal here. From Thursday 13th March we switched Pennies from the Flood Appeal to support St Elizabeth Hospice, a charity devoted to improving life for people living with a progressive illness. The team at St Elizabeth Hospice care for people at home, in the community, or at the Hospice in Ipswich, helping them cope with pain and anxiety as well as offering practical advice and support. You can help us support St Elizabeth Hospice by donating your spare change each time you make a purchase in our stores. Pennies is quick, simple, and a great way to help raise much needed funds - every single penny counts! St Elizabeth Hospice fundraisers Cheryl Burgess and sisters Ginny and Emma HibbertAt the same time, Adnams employees Emma Hibbert and Cheryl Burgess are independently raising funds for the Hospice. Emma is running the London Marathon with her sister Ginny  - you can find out more and help the sisters raise funds here. Cheryl is taking part in St Elizabeth Hospice's 'Midnight Walk' in Ipswich where she'll be running the half-marathon distance. You can find out more and sponsor Cheryl here. Pennies will run in support of St Elizabeth Hospice for a couple of months until our next nominated charity is announced. Thanks again to our Cellar & Kitchen customers for such fantastic charitable support.
