Box of Adnams liqueur chocolatesCan you think of a better combination than the finest handmade chocolates and Adnams handcrafted spirits? Apart from beer and crisps, that is! We're incredibly proud to have teamed up with chocolatier Harry Specters to create a range of delicious chocolates featuring Adnams Copper House Dry Gin, Limoncello, Pomme Pom, Spirit of Broadside and Triple Sec. Based in Ely, Cambridgeshire, Harry Specters is a business with a great cause at its heart. Inspired by their son, Ash, who has autism, chocolatier Mona and her husband Shaz Shah set up Harry Specters as a social enterprise company to offer training and employment to people with autism. The company name was thought up by Ash. The Adnams and Harry Specters teamIt's not all one-sided, however, as a team from Adnams discovered when they visited Harry Specters to watch the chocolates being made. The attention to detail and the degree of care taken with every part of the chocolate-making process was astounding. It was soon clear that every team member made an invaluable contribution to producing their company's award-winning chocolate ranges. The chocolates are made using the finest grade chocolate, ethically sourced from sustainably grown cocoa and the fillings are created using our flavoursome spirits - a winning combination! Adnams' buyer, Debbie Popple, explains why we're so pleased to work with Harry Specters. "Not only are their chocolates utterly delicious and their social enterprise story commendable, but we knew that with their passion for crafting quality chocolates mixed with our range of spirits, we could produce a range of premium Adnams chocolates our customers would love. From the early stages of choosing and mixing flavours to developing bespoke transfers to decorate the chocolates and adding the copper decorations, nothing was too much to ask of them." You can try our new liqueur chocolates in our stores in a box of 16 (£15.99) and a box of nine (£10.99). (29 November 2016: Sorry, we have now sold out online, but we'll be getting more next year! Our stores have plenty available though). They make an amazing gift, but don't forget to treat yourself too - it's for a great cause! View photos from Harry Specters on Flickr.
