John's Suffolk Show Cocktails

Adnams Distiller John McCarthyAdnams Head Distiller, John McCarthy, was on stage with Head Chef at The Crown, Tyler Torrance, at this year's Suffolk Show. John demonstrated how to make a selection of delicious gin serves and cocktails, samples of which were distributed amongst an appreciative, and clearly thirsty, audience. If you missed John at the Show, or were somewhat distracted by Tyler brandishing a large salmon, the recipes are below.

Gin and tonic with lemon and ginger cordial

25ml Adnams Copper House Gin 12.5ml Mr Fitzpatrick's Lemon and Ginger Cordial 200ml Fever Tree Tonic Built in Highball Glass over ice. Garnish with lemon Zest (optional)


40ml Adnams First Rate Gin 40ml Dolin Sweet Vermouth 40ml Campari Stirred and served in an ice-filled tumbler. Garnish with an orange wheel segment.


A member of the Suffolk Show audience about to enjoy a Martini80ml Adnams First Rate Gin 5ml Dolin Extra Dry Vermouth Garnish Lemon Zest Stirred to achieve adequate dilution and served in a cocktail glass.

White Lady
