Cycling fever is taking over Southwold this year. In addition to the OVO Energy Women’s Tour of Britain which took place earlier this month in Southwold, the Southwold Sportive in May and the Women on Wheels event on Sunday 22nd July,
there’s now another opportunity to don your Lycra. On Sunday 1st July you can join in the OVO Energy Tour Ride and raise some much-needed donations for Breast Cancer Care. Breast Cancer Care is a charity we hold very close to our hearts here at Adnams, and we’ve chosen them as our ‘Pennies’ partner. That’s why whenever you make a purchase at one of our Adnams stores, you’ll have the opportunities to donate some pennies to the cause. In the past your ‘Pennies’ donations have raised over £10,000 per charity, including EACH, Big C and Macmillan, and we hope to do the same for Breast Cancer Care. The charity OVO Energy Tour Ride takes place on Sunday 1st July and is open to any member of the public over the age of 12. Entry prices are as follows: Standard (aged 16+) £35 Pledges (must raise £150+) £15 Children (aged 12-15) £You’ll have a choice of either a 30 or 80-mile bike ride, both inspired by the routes ridden by the professionals in Stage One of the Women’s Tour of Britain. Both rides will begin and end on Southwold Common, with the longer of the two routes passing through Framlingham as well.
