Lighthouse beams brighter than ever

Adnams Lighthouse pump clip design, Sept 2013Adnams Lighthouse, our 3.4% abv light golden beer, has been given a fresh new look by Brighton-based designers CookChick. Lighthouse is brewed with Pale Ale and Crystal Malt, hopped with Fuggles and Goldings to produce bright, fresh aromas with hints of caramel and toffee. Victoria Savory, Adnams Head of Marketing explains: "Since it's launch in 2007 Adnams Lighthouse has grown to become a key beer in our permanent range. Based on the original Champion Pale Ale recipe, we wanted a packaging design that reflected the lower abv and the lighter, approachable nature of this beer. The new design features the most iconic building in Southwold - the Lighthouse - and using fresher, lighter colours gives our beer a new lease of life with better stand-out in bars and on shelf. We hope you like it!" The design was conceived by Lee Cook who comments: "We have recently been enhancing the visual personalities of the Adnams permanent beers, allowing the individual character of each to shine through. The Lighthouse is the icon of Southwold (if you don't include the brewery, of course!). The colours are fresh and bright, and the concentric circles capture the light beams and the beer's 'coastal cool' nature". Adnams bottled Lighthouse will change over to the new packaging design in October 2013. We're always keen to hear what you think. Have you seen the Light (house)?
