Raise a glass to Old Ale

Adnams Old Ale pump clipOld Ale, based on one of Adnams’ oldest beer recipes dating back to 1890, has won a Bronze medal in the CAMRA Champion Winter Beer of Britain Awards. Old shares its Bronze with joint winner Snow Top from Old Diary Brewery in Kent. Congratulations to all of the other winners - especially the Overall Champion, Moor's Old Freddy Walker. Last month, Old Ale also won a Gold medal and was awarded Overall Champion Beer of East Anglia at the Champion Beer of East Anglia Awards. Adnams Old Ale is traditionally brewed in the winter months and is available in cask from October to January each year. Adnams Head Brewer, Fergus Fitzgerald, comments, "Old Ale is a beer the brewers at Adnams look forward to making (and tasting!) every year and given the regularity of the awards it wins, it seems that Old Ale season is equally popular with beer drinkers, too. The Winter Ale Festival took place in Norwich this year and it's great to have this great competition hosted on our doorstep for the next few years.“
