Spindrift, our East Coast Blonde, has a fresh new look!

Adnams Spindrift bottlesMany of you will already be familiar with our much-loved beer, Spindrift, in its unique blue glass bottle. It's recently been given a fresh new look by our long-standing partners CookChick Design – who are also based on the coast further south at Brighton. The Beer ‘Spindrift’ takes its name from the spray blown from cresting waves - we see quite a lot of it splattered on our brewery after storms. (Ask our window cleaner, Roger, he can tell you all about it!) Evoking our coastal location, Spindrift (4% abv in draught) is refreshing and light with a full flavour. For those of you who'd like to know the technical details, we've made our Spindrift from a blend of East Anglian malted barley, Boadicea and First Gold hops and malted wheat. It is chilled and gently filtered to preserve the aromas and flavours. Spindrift is top-fermented (just like our other beers, lager is usually bottom-fermented) and it should be served chilled with a thick, continental-style, head. On the beer fizzy scale (there isn't one, but you can imagine it!), it's probably about mid way - it's not as fizzy as a lager, but it's fizzier than an ale. The design Lee CookWe wanted to update the label design to reflect the beer’s light yet powerful flavour as well as Adnams’ coastal heritage. Designer Lee Cook explains, “I wanted to capture more of the character of the beer, some of that ‘East Coast Cool’ energy and personality. The use of yellow brings a youthful, vibrant feel with a design nodding towards surf culture”. Adnams Spindrift labelSpindrift is available on keg in selected outlets. Please note: The bottled version was retired in May 2016.
