Summer 20% off Fine Wine Sale

By Rob Chase, also posted in News on

Rob Chase with Fine WinesOver 60 wines available online in our Summer Sale! Whilst stocks last, we are offering a fantastic range of great wines, all at 20% discount. Our enthusiasm for Fine Wines continues unabated, whilst we continue to be equal advocates of great value-for-money wines. Adnams is a keen supporter of (as yet!) unheard of wines from across the wine world, be they from remote areas or wines made from native and unknown grape varieties. The common theme is always quality, which is why we sell a few outstanding wines from the Languedoc at similar prices to Cru Classé clarets, and you can find a number of New Zealand Pinots at Gevrey-Chambertin prices. Provenence, reputation and wine-making integrity are critical elements of this quality factor. Be they sub £20 or in excess of £200, the wines in our Fine Wine Sale are breathtakingly good. Think Fine Wine and your mind immediately turns to the classic regions of Bordeaux and Burgundy. I believe that there has been a certain amount of overheated activity in these markets, particularly Bordeaux in recent vintages where you now have to pay astronomical prices for wines that need keeping for decades. This means that looking a few vintages back you can find real value, especially from a producer like Anthony Barton whose Leoville and Langoa Barton wines have always been honestly priced. Add to this a 20% discount and there is no reason that a bit of indulgence is not now in order.  As to Burgundy, I am tempted by saving £50+ on the Richebourg, waiting for the next ‘significant’ birthday and celebrating in style! The list includes some of the greatest names in Europe, from Burgundian icons like Lafon and Leflaive to Bordeaux giants like Cheval Blanc and Château Margaux but I know that the first lines to vanish will be the large bottles of Claret. Just think! A magnum of mature Claret for £30, why wouldn’t you? All stocks are limited, but some are rarer than others (online, where quantities are greater than 12, the option to buy a case is displayed, where there are less than 12 bottles, just a single bottle option will appear). Seize this opportunity to own and enjoy some of the world's icon wines at reduced, and much more friendly, prices. You can find a list of our Fine Wine Sale wines here, and if you have any questions regarding these Fine Wines please call me, Rob Chase, and I will gladly help: 01502 727 222.
