The Adnams Wine Festival - Asolo Prosecco

In the fourth week of the Adnams Wine Festival, we are moving to the picturesque landscapes of Italy – a country with so much diversity from its rich tapestry of vineyards. Italy proudly produces over 500 different types of wine, many of which are made from regional, indigenous varietals. Plus, with over 400 regional wine quality denominations, there is a huge variety in style across the country.

Asolo; the “Pearl of Treviso” is where the Glera grapes are grown for our Prosecco DOCG. Set on the western edge of the Colli Asolani Ridge at the foot of the Venetian Alps, the picturesque, hilly region is full of Medieval history, and provides the perfect growing conditions; where grapes thrive growing on the mainly south-facing slopes. The temperate climate is mitigated by coastal influences, whilst the chain of Alps protects vineyards from northern winds.

DOCG (Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita) is the highest classification for Italian wines, where grapes are selected for both area of origin and quality; production is strictly controlled, and subject to official tasting procedures. As a result, this DOCG Prosecco is the most superior quality, with an added complexity.

Produced by our partners at the Botter family, who place an emphasis on quality at the heart of all that they do, whilst remaining true to their long-standing traditions and with respect to the environment in which they work.

A vibrant, brightly sparkling Prosecco with delicate fruity notes of peach and melon. Perfect for toasting any occasion, or served alongside the seaside classic, fish and chips.

Suitable for vegans.
