The Aldeburgh Food & Drink Festival 2015

By Sarah Groves, also posted in News on

Adnams Beach Hut storeCelebrating the tenth year of the very best of local food and drink in the beautiful settings of Snape Maltings. Adnams is proud to have sponsored the Aldeburgh Food & Drink Festival since it began and it’s always brilliant to see the region’s wonderful producers gather together over Suffolk’s tastiest weekend. The Adnams Boat Bar is serving a celebratory ale - Alde Ale - brewed to mark the 10th festival. As well as our festival beer, festival goers can enjoy Ghost Ship, Southwold Bitter, Broadside, Dry Hopped Lager, Blackshore Stout and our Rugby World Cup beer Prop Hop, as well as a range of Adnams wines and spirits. The Adnams Beach Hut store is here too, selling a range of Adnams goodies, including mini casks of Prop Hop to enjoy whilst watching the rugby back at home. Adnams at the Aldeburgh Food & Drink Festival 2015 If you’re coming to the Festival on Sunday, don’t miss the competitive and fun taste-off between wine (represented by Rob Chase), beer (Fergus Fitzgerald) and spirits (John McCarthy) on the Tiptree Stage at 2.45pm. The delicious Adnams White Burgundy made sure that wine won the vote (just!) on Saturday, but it’s all to play for tomorrow. Entry is free. Also on Sunday, there’s the chance to attend Rye in Baking Masterclass at the Festival Bakery at 11.30am with Brewer Dan Gooderham and the Two Magpies Bakery. Tickets are £5 per person. Gates open at 9.30am on Sunday, but if you miss this year’s Festival, you still have two more weeks to take part in one or more ‘Fringe’ events. Check out the Aldeburgh Food & Drink Festival website for full details. You can view images from Saturday’s Festival on Flickr.
