The Summer of Cycling

The Women's Tour 2014On Wednesday 15th June, Southwold will be welcoming the 2016 Women's Tour riders, crew and supporters into town. If you're a cycling fan, there are still a few places left at the Grand Depart Charity Dinner on Tuesday 14th June at The Swan Hotel in Southwold. We've already enjoyed the Norwich 100 Bike Ride, Pedal Norfolk and the Pearl Izumi Tour Series but there's lots more to come! There are some great cycling events to watch and also to take part in. Here's a run-down of some of the cycling events Adnams is supporting this year:

Featuring 96 of the world's very best female cyclists, racing takes place over five stages. Stage one: Southwold to Norwich Stage two: Atherstone to Stratford-Upon-Avon Stage three: Ashbourne to Chesterfield Stage four: Nottingham to Burton-on-Trent Stage five: Northampton to Kettering. Norfolk Superhero ChallengeThe Norfolk Superhero Challenge

A fun, challenging event on Saturday 25th June that combines an open water one-mile swim, a 4-mile kayak, a 45-mile cycle ride and an 8-mile run. This superhero Challenge is now fully booked (there are lots of superheroes in Norfolk). However, your support is always welcome! Click here to find out more. Funds this year are being raised in support of The East Anglian Air Ambulance.

Women on Wheels is coming to Southwold on 10th July! This is a fun opportunity to dust the cobwebs off your bike if you haven't ridden for a while. Open to women of all ages over 8! Find out more here.

Suffolk Coast Bike Ride 2014The Suffolk Coast Bike Ride

An opportunity to ride through the picturesque Suffolk countryside on Sunday 7th August. Starting and finishing in the grounds of Glenham Hall, there's a choice of distances: 35, 65 and 100-mile routes. This is a sponsored charity ride with proceeds this year being raised in support of The Down Syndrome Association. Find out more here.

The Tour of Britain

The Tour of Britain logoThe UK's biggest professional road cycling race and the country's largest free-to-watch sporting event takes place between 4th and 11th September 2016.
