2013 Tour of Britain imageWednesday 7th May marks the start of the inaugural Friends Life Women's Tour, ending on Sunday 11th May at Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk. More than 4,000 people are expected to arrive in Bury to watch a hundred top female cyclists sprint to the finish line on Angel Hill. Adnams' boat bar will be at the finish line with a range of beers freshly racked from our brewery in Southwold: Southwold Bitter, Broadside, Ghost Ship, Fat Sprat, Jack Brand Mosaic and Dry Hopped Lager. Julie, Charlotte and the team will also have a range of wines, Adnams gin and tonic, and soft drinks available. The Adnams team will be handing out free 'bang-bang' sticks around the finish area so you can get involved and make some noise to encourage the riders over the finish line. Bury St Edmunds has planned a weekend of cycling and sport to celebrate the event - find out more on The Women's Tour website here. The Stage Five route starts in Harwich and passes through Manningtree, Hadleigh, Sudbury, Long Melford, Lavenham and on to Bury. You can view a map of the route here.
