Pedal Norfolk logo 2014Fancy an action-packed, family-friendly weekend on the beautiful North Norfolk coast? Then all you need is a bike, a tent and maybe a bit of stamina, too! The Pedal Norfolk Cycling Festival takes place over May Bank Holiday Weekend on 3 - 5th May 2014 and is based at the glorious Holkham Estate. Participants are invited to camp within the grounds overnight, while by day either making the most of the fun and entertainment at camp, or setting off on cycle rides over a range of distances. There will be 20 and 50-mile signposted, fully supported routes each day. For the super-keen rider there will also be 100-mile routes on Saturday and Sunday. The choice is yours - either a 20 or 50 mile leisurely ride on one of the days, or the whole course - 100 miles on Saturday, 100 miles on Sunday and 50 miles on Monday. Back at camp, the festival includes a range of family entertainment with trade-stands and plenty of food to ensure everyone has a memorable and fun-packed weekend. For the youngsters, there's a range of activities they can try including 'Doc Spinoff's tricky tricycles', a climbing wall and MTB and Cyclo X course. In the refreshment tent, riders will discover a range of Adnams Beers - a well-earned pint is definitely something to look forward to after a day in the saddle. Olympic medalist Emma Pooley will be joining Pedal Norfolk, getting the riders under starter's orders on Saturday 4th May, riding alongside and participating in a Time Trial before a Q&A session in the evening. You can find out much more on the Pedal Norfolk Festival website.
