Just perfect for parties or celebratory gatherings. Brewed with Pale Ale malt and First Gold hops, Broadside is a dark ruby red beer rich in fruitcake aromas, almonds and conserved fruit. Our mini-casks are filled with fresh beer and have a short shelf life of a minimum of two weeks. Please leave to settle for 24 hours after receipt.
Please be aware that if you are buying a mini-cask, this is a live beer and should be consumed within 2 weeks of purchase.
Adnams Broadside commemorates the fierce battle of Sole Bay fought against the Dutch Republic in 1672 off the Southwold coast, just across the green from our brewery.
Contains gluten - barley
Rich dark ale full of depth and bursting with flavour. Lovely ice cold on a Summer's day or room temperature in the cosy winter pub (first ever pint was in a gale one winter in Walberswick in the 90's and boy did it hit the spot). My beer of choice ever since all year round. Only wish the mini casks were easier to come by as I'd have them on standing order.
Lovely ale, as it should be. Recommended.
Lager drinker for 40 years but now ive switched to Broadside. Its fantastic. Its a shame i didnt find it sooner! Carry on the good work!
Broadside is just the best ! A great old fashioned beer but while I see Ghost Ship in pubs all over the place I don’t see Broadside very often ! Apparently it’s more expensive but I’d gladly pay the difference !
Broadside is the best. It’s a little strong in bottles. But it’s a lovely taste, in the bottles, keg and on pump
A brilliant ale. Rich, dark ruby and full bodied. Think Christmas cake in a bottle!! My favourite by miles. Shame that some pubs do not serve this at its best when it is a magnificent pint. However the bottles and 5 litre casks are always good.
I now have Broadside running through my veins!! I recommend to everyone everywhere at every opportunity!!
your top recommender in Northampton
Fully bodied, light, very smooth and rich with fuity undertones.
One of the best beers in the world! I drank this for the first time today and quite simply is one of the best beers I've ever had. Packed with flavour, a slight malty sweetness balanced beautifully with hop bitterness. Fantastic beer!
I'm A Recent Convert To Ale... I Have Tried Lots Of Different Ones Since My Conversion... Broadside Is A Lovely Beer... One That I Will Be Getting Again...
Top class. I'd agree that this is the best beer I've ever tasted. It's also amazing in casseroles!!
Adnams' best beer by a mile. One is never enough so can we please have it in 1 litre bottles in future?
Believe the hype! Its been said before but this is definitely the best beer I've ever tasted! Well done Adnams!
I never if possible drink anything else - method open half an hour before use pour into Adnams pint glass leave by the AGA until most of the gas has gone and its just off cold to bring out the top flavors - superb all the pubs in Southwold serve Broadside properly sadly not all pubs do and therefore I send it back with instructions how to clean the pipes and look after this wonder of modern times THMG aged 77
real ale that tastes great, perfect any time, always keep a bottle in the fridge-well two then because one is just not enough!
Addicted ! I have got to have my Broadside at least 3 times a week. Delicious. It`s the best beer around. Vic of Cavendish.
Simply Superb. Ruby red, fully bodied, my favourite real ale.
Astonishingly good beer. This is my favourite beer of all time, and it's full-bodied flavour is particularly welcome in the cold winter months! Endlessly rewarding.
I have one every lunchtime. A magnificent beer, rich, sumptuous.
Banging!! My all time favourite real ale. Rich dark fruity, you name it it`s got it! 10/10
It is an amber, rich ale with marmalade richness, fruitcake notes and I think it's brilliant.
