Ghost Ship is a ghostly pale ale which takes its inspiration from Adnams 600-year-old haunted pub, The Bell. Brewed with a selection of malts - Pale Ale, Rye Crystal and Cara. We use Citra, and a blend of other American hop varieties to create some great citrus flavours. Bronze Medal Winner at The International Brewing Awards, 2013.
If you're purchasing a mini-keg, these should be consumed within 1 month of purchase.
The Sunday Telegraph - "A decent drop with a classic ploughman's of cheddar and crusty bread."
The Sun - "The perfect match for grilled meat, spicy food and pizza."
About Time - "Ghost Ship Citrus Pale Ale is a well-rounded beer with hearty biscuit flavours, citrus aromas and enough Citra and American hop varieties to create a truly hoppy refreshment."
Independent - "Cooking over a grill is thirsty work. It's not practical to keep traipsing back into the kitchen to keep refreshed, so why not keep a 5-litre keg on standby instead. Full of summery citrus notes with an underlying attractive bitterness, it's the equivalent of about eight pints, perfect for a little gathering."
Ghost Ship was launched in 2010, originally as a seasonal Halloween beer. The final concept for Ghost Ship would be for a beer light in colour but with a little more sweetness and body from the addition of some caramalt and some rye to our pale ale malt. The Citra hops were complemented by a few other varieties, including Columbus and Centennial, but all the dry hops were Citra.

Been drinking Adnams beers for nearly 40 years now and Ghostship from the keg is a fantastic beer, as if you're actually in Southwold on the harbour on a sunny evening. won't go all flowery about it, as that's not really my thing but it is just spot on if you are a real ale drinker. Give it a go, you will not be disappointed. Owen Lionnel.
Beautiful beer. Just make sure you'll drink it in a week or so. Not a problem here 😜🍻
