Our first year at Frinton-on-Sea.

On Tuesday 16th April they will be hosting a Craft & Beer Night - a fun session where you can sample a few beers and create your own craft project. All materials are included, and you have a choice of drink including beer, prosecco or an alcohol-free option. Tickets are priced at £10 per person.

On Friday 19th April, the team will hold a Celebratory Wine Tasting for their Friday Wine Club, where they’ll introduce a range of sparkling wines from around the world. It is priced at £20 per ticket, and there will be canapes and live music. To book this event or a ticket for the Craft & Beer Night, pop into the store or call the team on 01255 440830. 

Finally, to celebrate their first birthday, they will hold their Birthday Bash on Saturday, 20th April. You can meet Adnams’ resident Wine Geek, Dan Kirby and the broader Adnams team. There will be fizz on arrival, tastings galore throughout the day, and a birthday prize draw. Just pop in between the hours of 10am and 6pm and say hello. There will also be special offers and surprises over the weekend, so do come along and raise a glass with us.  

We spoke to manager Kelly, about some the highlights of her first year at the helm: “Our spring store opening was hugely successful with a warm welcome from locals. The summer period saw us make friends with those visiting the area for their holidays, and our first festive season was incredibly busy, with lots of regular customers coming to us for their Christmas shopping. Christmas really stands out as the highlight of the year,” she said, reminiscing.

“We have seen customers try new things and settle on some favourites that they hadn’t expected – we’ve certainly had a lot of converts to White Burgundy! We adapted our opening times to fit in with the Frinton customer and feel like we’ve really settled into the community.

“We had so much support even before our opening and get the sense that people really see Adnams as respected and local brand. We are particularly supported by the Frinton Rotary Association, the Chamber of Commerce, Frinton Lawn Tennis Club, Frinton Summer Theatre, Frinton and Walton Heritage Trust, Frinton and Walton Yacht Club and the NAWT (National Animal Welfare Trust). 

“We see a lot of regular customers in store and out and about on our local deliveries. We recently started a monthly Friday Wine Club, with tickets sales at capacity, and the community is really getting to know us for our wine, having previously only really known us for beer. It’s been exciting expanding our audience.

“We are looking forward to continuing to grow our wine experience and want to participate in more local events. We would also love to expand our ranges into more local business. A few of Frinton’s favourite things include Adnams White Burgundy, our Pinot Grigio and Malbec, as well as our Finest Reserve Port. Our spirits and beers are also popular on the tasting bar.”
