Sadly, just after 9:30am on Tuesday 26th March there was a fire at The Ship Inn, Levington.

Although the pub has suffered extensive damage, everyone is safe and well, and we'd like to say a big thank you to the Suffolk and Essex Fire and Rescue Services for their outstanding support.

The team at The Ship are also very grateful for the messages of support they've already received from well-wishers and local residents.

Investigations into the cause of the fire are underway, and the pub will remain closed until further notice.

It's early days yet but we will update you with further information when we have it.
