We look forward to serving and supporting our local communities again. Our team have been through additional training programmes, stocked the shelves and are eager to greet you again in store.  We have been monitoring and following all advice from the government and liaising with our store teams to ensure that we can reopen in a responsible and safe way that ensures the safety of our team and customers.  



Before you visit, we’d like you to be aware that… 

Keeping you, our customers and our team safe is our priority at Adnams and therefore you will see some small changes, in line with government guidelines, when you come into store: 

  • Card payments only – We are going cashless within stores to minimise contact between staff and customers  

  • Limiting the number of customers in our stores – To help adhere to social distancing guidelines we will be limiting number of customers to enter the store at one time and have reduced numbers of team members. This will differ from store-to-store and will be clearly signposted at each location. 

  • New signage and wayfinding – There will be new posters and floor graphics in store to help you find your way around the store and keep a safe distance from others. 

  • All of your favourites – All Adnams key favourites across beer, wines and spirits will be replenished regularly in store. Some of our lines may change or go out of stock temporarily, but staff are on hand for help and advice to help you find similar alternatives. We also have a wide selection of products that can be ordered online at and delivered straight to your door. 

  • Face Masks - From the 24th  July we will encourage you to provide and wear your own face coverings, in line with the guidance where ever possible and where required, however, disposable masks will be available for any customer who does not have one and wishes to come into our shops.

Free Local Home Delivery 

We will be offering free home delivery to all customers within the local area of the store.   

  •  Delivery Area - We will be able to deliver within a 20-minute drive time each store. Our team will drop to your doorstep or your safe place. 
  • How to order - Call your local store or order when you are in store. If you choose to call, we will take payment over the phone and confirm a delivery time with you.  

  • Collect your order from store – If you would prefer to pick up your order, please call us to place your order and we can also discuss a suitable collection time. 



Our Teams 

We have continued to support our teams during the closure and have ensured they are all fit and well and happy to return to work. We are working with those who are Shielding or who now have additional child care or home schooling responsibilities to make sure we support them in every way possible. 


Training Programmes – we have taken all of our shop team members through additional health and safety training prior to opening to ensure they are comfortable and confident in coming back to work and will refresh this on a regular basis in the days and weeks ahead. 


Well-being Support – We have always placed employee well-being at the centre of all we do and have a long standing and wide-reaching programme to support their physical, mental and emotional needs. We also have an Employee Assistance Programme in place for any member of the Adnams team wishing to seek free and confidential advice and information and promote the support available through the Licenced Trade Charity and the Aviva Workplace platform. 


Safety - we have provided Sanitisation Stations and Deep Clean packs for all areas of our business in addition to applying 2m social distancing floor markings and signage. We will remove or limit close contact between our employees in every way possible and will promote home working wherever it’s practical to do so. 


We continue to treat all employees as individuals and work hard to find the best way of supporting each of them in whichever way we can especially during these unusual times.
