Picpoul is a variety that’s making a name for itself in the UK, and this wine is a perfect example of why. Lively, fresh with lemony and floral touches. This light and delicate wine has alluring aromas of acacia and hawthorn blossom, and flavours of crunchy green apples, with a burst of citrus fruit.
Picpoul can be on the pricier side, but here we’ve worked closely with the JeanJean family to offer a delicious wine at a superb price. Over 5 generations the JeanJean family have played an active role in the Languedoc winemaking legacy, helping mould the reputation it enjoys today.
The grapes used for this Picpoul de Pinet are grown on warm limestone and sandy soils, bathed in glorious sunshine and tempered by cooling breezes from the Mediterranean sea. This results in a light, but concentrated cleansing finish. It’s a wine that was designed to be shared, but we wouldn’t blame you if you chose not to.
Since 1870 and over 5 generations, the Jean Jean family has played an active role in Languedoc winemaking history. Across seven estates, a diverse range of uniquely styled wines with great aromatic intensity are produced. Each bottle is an invitation to discover the wealth and diversity of the land and – inline with the family’s values – made for sharing.
