The Den Chenin Blanc is a medium bodied wine with a bright fresh finish. It’s packed full of lovely melon and quince flavours as well as a hint of spicy oak and a touch of vanilla. It’s perfect for sharing and comes from a small-yield parcel from some of the finest wine-growing regions in the county. It’s a wine that you’re not going to want to miss and at just £10.99, it offers incredibly value.
Painted wolf is a collaboration. Working with a community of talented winemakers, Jeremy and Emma Borg collate the very best grapes and winemaker knowledge from key areas in South Africa like Paarl, Swartland and Stellenbosch. The result is a superb collection of wines that taste great and do good.
5% of all painted wolf profits from UK sales are donated to Tusk, a charity dedicated to the conservation of the beautiful endangered African wild dog. Unfortunately the painted dog population has plummeted from 300,000 in the early 20th century to just 6,500 today, but the work being done by Tusk is vital to protect and grow the declining numbers.
Jeremy and Emma Borg founded Painted Wolf to create wines from a small number of growers in some of South Africa's prime sites, including Paarl, Swartland and Stellenbosch - from low-yielding areas which are mostly unirrigated and farmed organically or with minimal organic outputs - and to support conservation of the endangered African wild dog. Taking inspiration from the African wild dog pack dynamics, Jeremy and Emma work with a community of talented individuals and 'pack member' vineyards to bring the best available grapes, technical and winemaking skills to Painted Wolf. Five percent of Painted Wolf profits from UK sales are donated to Tusk. Contains Sulphites
Wasn't aware that 5% went to a good cause when I bought it, but that's great to hear. Wine itself is really fruity and just has a lovely lasting finish that both my wife and I enjoyed. Going back to buy a couple more.
