New Zealand always carries an air of mysticism about it and this Wildsong Sauvignon Blanc is no different. The vineyards of Hawke's Bay have a harmony, energy and uniqueness about them, that we believe you can taste in their wines.
This organic Sauvignon Blanc is abundant with nectarine, grapefruit and cantaloupe characters making it highly enjoyable. It has excellent fruit intensity with a long, attractive finish.
With an elegant lime zest lift, this makes a great pairing with oily fish such as sardines and mackerel, big garlicky prawns or chargrilled squid.
Contains Sulphates. Organic.
The Wildsong Sauvignon Blanc comes from vines planted in 2006 at Maraekakaho in Hawkes Bay. The vineyard is planted on an old river terrace and is about 150 metres above sea level and 35km from the coast meaning cooler nights. The grapes were harvested, gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel to maximise fruit intensity. Four months on, this has created a rich palate and a little more complexity.
