Delicious flavours of russet apples and citrus with a full-bodied, dry finish.
The grapes for this White Burgundy are grown on the north-westerly facing slopes of the Saône valley, meaning a long slow ripening period that allows complex mineral flavours to develop. In contrast to the generous flavours of the Adnams Mâcon, this neighbour has the taste of russet apples and citrus with a full dry finish that makes this a wine perfect for the dinner table and a very grown-up expression of this great grape.
The perfect white to pair with a roast chicken or pork.
The southern reaches of Burgundy are dominated by the two great promontories of limestone of Solutré and Vergisson which are surrounded by rolling hills covered in vines. This is Chardonnay country, and this world-famous grape derives its name from an eponymous village nearby.
