Get together for the Tour of Britain

By sarahhowe, also posted in News on

2012 has been a massive year for British cycling with Bradley Wiggins winning the hearts of the nation as he brought the Yellow Jersey home for Britain in the Tour de France and won Gold at the London 2012 Olympics. Then there's Chris Hoy who became Great Britain's most successful Olympian ever with the two Gold medals he won  at the Velodrome. And it's not over yet! The Tour of Britain starts in Ipswich this weekend with the Tour Ride on the 8th September, when amateur riders can take on the challenge of Stage 1 of the tour before the Professionals compete on the 9th September. The weather is looking good so why not meet up with your friends and collegues to cheer on the amateur riders and catch a glimpse of Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish from Team Sky as they compete against 15 other teams for the title. Here's a list of our pubs that fall on or near the Stage 1 route from Ipswich to Norwich, providing you with a great place to meet up and view the race from. Please note that times are estimates and apply to the professional race on Sunday 9th September only. Additional comments relate to the professional race unless otherwise stated.
